Overview

EnvisionAI is an interactive art installation and companion mobile app that transforms personal goals into vivid, AI-generated visualizations. The project explores how technology, emotion, and immersive design can empower people to envision their future selves and take meaningful steps toward achieving their dreams.

The experience begins as a gallery installation and continues as a personalized, daily tool through the EnvisionAI app. This dual format allows the project to exist simultaneously as an artwork and a functional product designed to inspire long-term behavior change.

Concept

1. Art Installation Experience

Visitors enter a gallery space with five large screens. Each screen acts as an interactive station. When a participant reaches the front of the line:

  1. They input a personal goal such as “learn to play guitar.”

  2. The installation scans the user.

  3. Using AI image generation models such as DALL·E or Midjourney, the system produces a vision of the user successfully achieving their dream.

  4. The screen reveals a personalized journey map that breaks the goal into manageable modules.

  5. A QR code links the participant to the EnvisionAI mobile app so they can continue the journey once they leave the installation.

The installation leaves participants with a powerful emotional impression that is connected to their own aspirations rather than the artist’s alone.

2. Mobile App

The companion app transforms the installation into a daily, adaptable tool. Users receive:

  • A personalized roadmap broken into small, achievable modules

  • Tasks based on their schedule, finances, physical ability, and environment

  • Milestone rewards and motivational affirmations

  • Ongoing visualizations as they progress

The app adapts dynamically so the journey remains realistic and encouraging.

Problem Space

People often hold meaningful dreams, such as learning a new hobby or working a certain job, but lose momentum due to distractions, lack of structure, or difficulty visualizing progress.

While many motivational tools exist, few create a deep emotional connection or offer a personalized, art-driven experience that makes the goal feel real.

Why Art?

EnvisionAI begins as a gallery experience designed to slow people down and invite honest self-reflection. By asking visitors a simple question: “What is your dream?” the installation creates a moment of vulnerability and intention that feels very different from how we normally engage with technology.

Transforming that response into a personalized, achievable plan uses AI not as a gimmick, but as a tool for guidance and clarity. Presenting this process in an art space encourages visitors to view personal growth as a creative act, something shaped by imagination and possibility.

The experience extends beyond the gallery through a QR code that brings the personalized plan into a companion app. This bridge between physical installation and digital follow-through reinforces the project’s goal: turning a fleeting moment of inspiration into meaningful, long-term action.

Sommerer and Mignonneau’s A-Volve

In A-Volve, user-drawn creatures come to life in a responsive digital ecosystem.
This influenced the idea of bringing the participant’s dream to life and creating a vision they can interact with.

Visual Learning Research

Studies show that 65 percent of people are visual learners (Jawed et al.).
This supports the value of turning abstract goals into concrete visuals that anchor motivation.

As both an artistic experience and a product concept, EnvisionAI demonstrates how interactive art can become a catalyst for real-world change.

Reflection

This project allowed me to merge my interests in interactive art, AI, and UX design. I set out to create a piece that did not only inspire people in the moment but stayed with them in their daily lives. My goal was to create something they could carry forward.

EnvisionAI represents the type of future I want to help build. I imagine a future where art moves us emotionally and moves us forward by helping us grow into who we want to become.
