ENVSION AI
Turning Dreams Into Reality Through Interactive Art + Mobile Design

Art Installation & Mobile App
What if the first step toward achieving a dream was seeing it come true?
Context
Art creates powerful emotional moments. But that feeling rarely survives the walk out the door.
This project started with one question: what if an art experience could actually change your life?
EnvisionAI is an immersive art installation paired with a companion mobile app. One creates the emotional spark, the other turns it into a structured path forward.
Problem
People from all walks of life carry dreams they haven't acted on. The barrier is rarely ability — it's three compounding problems:
Goals that feel too abstract to commit to
Not knowing where or how to begin
Motivation fading after the initial excitement
Existing tools start with a task. EnvisionAI starts with a feeling, and builds everything else from there.
How might we design an experience that helps people visualize their future and take meaningful steps toward achieving it?
Research + Inspiration
This project began as a pitch for a visual arts class exploring AI. Two pioneering works shaped the concept:
Karl Sims — Galapagos
One of the first installations where audience interaction directly shaped the experience. This grounded the idea that participants should author their own outcome, not just observe.
One of the first works where user input brought digital creatures to life in real time. This influenced the idea of making a participant's dream visually tangible through AI.
Sommerer & Mignonneau — A-Volve
A core design principle guided the work: goals that can be visualized feel closer and more achievable.
Key Insight
Both works were early examples of interactive, evolving art. EnvisionAI carries that lineage forward. The participant shapes the experience by inputting their goal, and the journey evolves as they make real progress in the app.
Goals that can be visualized feel closer and more achievable. Rather than starting with tasks and tracking, EnvisionAI starts with a vivid image of your future self and builds structure around that emotional anchor.
Concept
EnvisionAI exists as two connected experiences:
1. Interactive Art Installation
2. Companion Mobile App
The installation sparks an emotional moment. The app transforms it into structured, long-term progress. A QR code at the end of the installation experience bridges the two, inviting participants to continue their journey on their phone.
Installation Experience
Visitors enter a gallery space with five large interactive screens. Each screen acts as a participation station.
When a visitor approaches a screen:
They enter a personal goal, such as learning to play guitar.
The installation scans the participant.
AI image generation creates a visualization of the participant achieving their dream.
A personalized journey map appears, breaking the goal into smaller milestones.
A QR code connects the participant to the EnvisionAI mobile app.
The installation creates a moment of self-recognition and possibility, leaving visitors with a vivid image of their future self.
Mobile App
The companion app transforms the installation experience into a practical, long-term tool.

Outcome
EnvisionAI explores how interactive art and product design can work together.
The installation creates an emotional spark by visualizing a participant’s future self, while the companion app transforms that moment into a practical system for pursuing long-term goals.
Together, the experience bridges inspiration and action.
Reflection
This project allowed me to explore the intersection of interactive art, AI, and UX design. My goal was to create an experience that does more than inspire people in a gallery setting. I wanted to design something that could stay with participants and support them as they pursue their goals.
When I presented the project in class critique, the response was very positive. My teaching assistant encouraged me to consider pitching the concept further, which reinforced the potential of using interactive art as a tool for motivation and personal growth.
EnvisionAI reflects the type of work I hope to continue exploring. I am interested in designing experiences where art creates emotional impact while technology helps translate that inspiration into meaningful action.
